We took a fabulous trip on two trains in Africa in 2014. We rode Rovos Rail's Pride of Africa from Dar Es Salaam to Cape Town, and then the Blue Train from Cape Town to Pretoria. Come along for the ride!  And if you want information about how to follow in our footsteps, check out the International Railway Travelers website.

Below you will find quite a long set of slideshows with just photographs.  If you would prefer to read my journal and have a more narrated experience, please visit my blog by clicking on the tab above, far right.

We love to share our photos from around the world. Join us on the journey, but please remember, all images on this website are the sole property of the owner and may not be copied without permission.

We began our journey aboard Rovos Rail, traveling through Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and a corner of Botswana.

We entered South Africa and stayed at the Madikwe Game Reserve for a few days.

We traveled through South Africa, with three stops along the way.

We arrive in beautiful Cape Town

Our African adventure ends aboard the Blue Train back to Pretoria
